The boys are growing up so fast these days! It seems like every time we turn around they are saying and or doing something new. Zack has shared a few of this thoughts with us today which I thought were totally worth sharing on here:)
Picture it: Breakfast table this morning. Zack and Evan sitting
in front of their eggs with WALL-E playing in the background. "Mommy?" I hear as I'm cleaning the kitchen up. "Yes Baby." I answer as I'm getting use to the sound of the constant asking for Mommy! "I wanna go to
Earf today." I look at Rick to see if he understood him any better than I did, no luck. "What sweetie?" I ask him as I walk up to hear him better. "I wanna go to
Earf today to see WALL-E." he says as he points to the movie. I can see Rick laughing in the corner of my eye but I manage to press on. "But baby, you're already on Earth right now." I assure him but Zack does not give up his wants easily. "No Mommy," he says sternly, "I'm in a house, I wanna go to
Earf." Now I start to chuckle a little, how adorable is this little man I ask you??? Still I try to explain, "Zack, we're already on Earth. See, look outside there is soil and dirt just like the Earth WALL-E is on." Zack looks out the window and then
cooley back to me before saying, "That's not dirt Mommy, that's grass!"
Ohh I can't wait to see him during the teenage years!!!!
Onto adorable comment #2........
Picture it: This evening, after dinner the boys are wrestling around the living room. Rick picks Zack up in a bit of a tussle and Zack smacks his head into the floor (give me a little credit it is carpeted.) The tears start flowing and Rick immediately picks Zack up and comforts him feeling awful about him getting hurt. He's sitting with him in his arms for a few minutes
consoling him when Zack says very softly in his best
whimpery voice, "Daddy, you gotta play nice." We immediately started cracking up. A few more minutes of cuddling and Zack spoke up again and said, "Daddy, you have to be gentle with me." I guess all those times I lectured him on how to play with Evan haven't all been a waste:) Talk about pulling a guilt trip on Daddy for his little rough play! After wiping tears from my eyes (don't ask me why) we saved the evening by making home made chocolate chip cookies together. Is there anything chocolate can't fix???
