Adorable comment of the week!

So, I've decided to post a quick blog about Zack's most adorable comment of the week!!!

Saturday morning, I was getting ready to go to a baby sower and Zack comes running into my bathroom as I'm fixing my hair. "Mommy?" he says with his big green eyes gazing up as me. "Yes, baby?" I respond as usual. "Where are we going today?" he asks with a hopeful glimmer in his eye. "Mommy's getting ready to go to a baby shower today sweetie." I reply hoping to not get any protest back. A few seconds pass and Zack speaks up again, "But it's too small." I glance down at him to see if his face was giving any clues as to what the heck that was supposed to mean. Nothing! He looked just as puzzled as I did. "What's too small baby?" I finally have to ask if not for sheer curiosity. "The baby bath." he said, "It's too small for you!"

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! I instantly started laughing (and crying) at the same time realizing that my sweet, curious, creative three year old is picturing "mommy going to a baby shower" as me in a baby bath tub!!!! How adorable is this little creature?!?!?!!!!

Crazy? Maybe!

So I've got a lot of catching up to do with everything we've had going on the last few weeks so I'm starting at the beginning.

A group of friends of mine in the squadron have been meeting for playgroups just about every Friday for roughly the last two year. Each week we alternate hosts and a few weeks ago it was our turn. When we started doing these "little" groups we had 5 mommies and 6 little ones. Today, we've multiplied to 11 little ones!!!! That's right, we've all had another baby since we started which makes playgroups insanely chaotic but so rewarding to see them all together and see how much they've grown as friends. Here are a few pics of the Madness:)

Gotta LOVE the playroom!!!

Lunch:) I went a little overboard since I had a lot of nervous energy getting ready for the playgroup. This was the first one that I hosted since Erika passed and it was really sad for me to have her boys here without her!

Mrs. Carol is the woman taking care of Erika's boys who use to be Zack and Andrews preschool teacher. She was amazed that we willingly got this many kids together on a regular basis. She said we had an entire preschool class plus some:) However, she did say we did a good job!

There are two more babies at our house that you can't see in these pics:) It was a full house!!

I loved it!!

Dessert! I found a recipe for making brownies in ice cream cones!!! Told you I went overboard:)

They were a HUGE hit with the bigger kids though!

Sweetest Words

The boys are growing up so fast these days! It seems like every time we turn around they are saying and or doing something new. Zack has shared a few of this thoughts with us today which I thought were totally worth sharing on here:)

Picture it: Breakfast table this morning. Zack and Evan sitting in front of their eggs with WALL-E playing in the background. "Mommy?" I hear as I'm cleaning the kitchen up. "Yes Baby." I answer as I'm getting use to the sound of the constant asking for Mommy! "I wanna go to Earf today." I look at Rick to see if he understood him any better than I did, no luck. "What sweetie?" I ask him as I walk up to hear him better. "I wanna go to Earf today to see WALL-E." he says as he points to the movie. I can see Rick laughing in the corner of my eye but I manage to press on. "But baby, you're already on Earth right now." I assure him but Zack does not give up his wants easily. "No Mommy," he says sternly, "I'm in a house, I wanna go to Earf." Now I start to chuckle a little, how adorable is this little man I ask you??? Still I try to explain, "Zack, we're already on Earth. See, look outside there is soil and dirt just like the Earth WALL-E is on." Zack looks out the window and then cooley back to me before saying, "That's not dirt Mommy, that's grass!" Ohh I can't wait to see him during the teenage years!!!!

Onto adorable comment #2........
Picture it: This evening, after dinner the boys are wrestling around the living room. Rick picks Zack up in a bit of a tussle and Zack smacks his head into the floor (give me a little credit it is carpeted.) The tears start flowing and Rick immediately picks Zack up and comforts him feeling awful about him getting hurt. He's sitting with him in his arms for a few minutes consoling him when Zack says very softly in his best whimpery voice, "Daddy, you gotta play nice." We immediately started cracking up. A few more minutes of cuddling and Zack spoke up again and said, "Daddy, you have to be gentle with me." I guess all those times I lectured him on how to play with Evan haven't all been a waste:) Talk about pulling a guilt trip on Daddy for his little rough play! After wiping tears from my eyes (don't ask me why) we saved the evening by making home made chocolate chip cookies together. Is there anything chocolate can't fix???

Now that's an excited child!

So things have been slow around here since our return from Destin which was AMAZING!!! We've agreed that we need get away more often! First time in 7 years just isn't right!!! Anyway, Here's a pic of Rick at the pool side bar area that was of great use to us:)

Today we did have a little excitement that I thought would be cute to share. Zack has had a lot of big obsessions to put it kindly. We've gone through a Cars phase a Thomas phase, a WALL-E phase, and are currently obsessing over Aladdin (thank you Uncle Jeff.) Well, every time Zack talks to Nana on the phone lately, he asks her for a flying carpet. It's a cute request but for obvious reasons, Nana can not supply him with one. One day recently he asked Nana if she could send him an EVE to go with his interactive WALL-E that Uncle Ed got him for Christmas. Nana followed though on this request for him and his reaction today was priceless! Here's a little footage of Zack after he opened his Eve:

I thought I'd be really technical and upload a video of his excitement, but after 30 minutes of it "loading" I gave up! SORRY! These two pics are unfortunately the best I got:( Better luck next time...haha!

I'll close out by adding a few more shots of the boys. I love my little camera!!! It's so much easier to pull out for those quick little quarky things the kids do!

BUSTED!! Caught red handed playing with the computer. Zack knows that what he's doing is wrong, can you tell??

Evan copying Zack. Can't wait to see what he copies next:)

CHEESE!!
